He has been a managing partner of CBIE since 2002, acting as a consultant to companies in the sector of electricity, oil and natural gas and renewable energy sources. He is an Electrical Engineer graduated from PUC in Rio de Janeiro (1975) and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (1984), in addition to being a certified specialist by IHRDC Management Programs in Business Administration in Oil and Gas Natural (1999). He has more than 35 years of experience in the various energy markets acquired through his work at Furnas Centrais Elétricas (1976), Promon Engenharia (1984-1994) and at the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) (1998-2001 ), where he served as Superintendent of Government Participations, Superintendent of Strategic Studies and Advisor to the Director-General of the Agency. He was a researcher at the Polytechnic Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IPRJ), in the area of Energy Systems, and Professor of the Energy Planning Program at COPPE / UFRJ, in the areas of Risk Analysis, Alternative Energy Sources and Rational Use of Energy. He has several articles published in Brazilian newspapers and magazines and has lectured at various national and international forums on energy policy.
