CERI on The Road: Joisa Dutra participates as a member of a committee in the framework of the European Union-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Initiative.
Between September 16 and 20, the group formed by the Secretary of Planning and Energy Development of MME - Reive de Barros, the Director Rodrigo Limp of ANEEL and experts Joisa Dutra - Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Jorge Vasconcelos - Florence School of Regulation, were at the headquarters of the Regulatory Authority of Networks and Environmental Energy (ARERA) of Italy, and also met with the Electricity Industry Union - Eurelectric and Agora Energiewende, among others, promoting the high-level technical debate on "Energy Transition - how to deal with new industry governance and regulatory challenges" under the EU-Brazil Sectorial Dialogue Support Initiative.
The meetings were extremely valuable for learning about the governance and regulatory challenges faced in the context of the EU energy transition. This knowledge contributes to the understanding of how EU climate and energy policy affects the energy transition. The energy dialogue is of paramount strategic importance for Brazil, which is currently undergoing an energy reform aimed at promoting sustainable development.
By the end of 2019, the Project's report will be released and made available free of charge online.
